Duerken’s spectacular rise in Monza lands him second F2 podium

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Paraguayan driver advanced from 10th to 3rd place in the first race of the Monza round in Formula 2. President Santiago Peña celebrated the young driver’s achievement as he secured his second podium of the season.

Saturday’s race was the sprint ahead of the main event on Sunday. Duerksen started in 10th place and climbed to third, earning a spot on the podium. «Thanks to the AIX Racing team for their great work as always. Let’s do this again tomorrow,» the driver posted on his X account.

President Santiago Peña praised Duerksen’s performance: «What a pride for Paraguay! Joshua Duerksen’s talent and determination shine once again on the track, making a spectacular comeback,» reads part of his message posted on X.

This is the second time the Paraguayan driver has made it to the podium since starting his season in Formula 2 this year. The first time was at the Imola circuit in Italy in May, and he repeated the third position in the same country at the Monza circuit.

Duerksen will start from 11th place for Sunday’s race, aiming for another standout performance.
